Step 1: Phone Consultation - we start by consulting with you do determine the overall scope of the project and provide you with a rough order of magnitude cost estimate
Step 2: In-Home Consultation - we meet you where ever the piano or organ is currently housed to go make a detailed assessment of the work to be performed. It is during this process where we discuss various options that are available to you. We often consult with our clients for months to help them determine the best approach.
Step 3: Professional Moving - we take care of arranging for a professional piano/organ moving company to transport the piece to our shop where all of the work will be performed.
Step 4: Technical Assessment - once the instrument arrives at our shop, we arrange for a complete technical assessment of the internal workings of the instrument to determine if there is any internal damage. Again, we consult with you to review your options and finalize the cost estimate.
Step 5: Restoration - we completely disassemble the instrument and restore the finish by stripping, repairing any damage, sanding, color matching and applying the new finish. We also bring in seasoned professionals to expertly tune, polish, and repair the instrument including leveling of keys, bridge recapping or repair, restringing, repairing damaged bellows, etc.
Step 6: Delivery - after the instrument is reassembled and tuned, we expertly pack and move your instrument back to your premises. Finally, we unpack the instrument and review the work with you to your satisfaction.
